>>8558085That’s not how IP rights work. CN is co-owner of the Animated brand, not characters. Anything using the Animated brand would have royalties paid to CN. CN doesn’t own the characters. We can use characters that were original to Animated in other areas with different designs, hence Bulkhead and Lockdown. Just because Optimus Prime appears across various shows/movies doesn’t mean now various people own Optimus Prime, but they partially own a certain iteration of him. That’s why Evergreen Prime is being put out as no secondary license holders are involved.
