Having used both FDM and resin printing, I think I would prefer resin even at 6in figure scale going forward.

That's mostly what I did for my HAN-D figure. I ripped his unused beta model from Risk of Rain 2 and did a lot of smoothing and repairing geometry and added joint holes and then 3d printed. The only additional parts I used were a magnet, some revoltech joints, and the hands are from a 3a figure.
