eh, I just think the chrome purple, matte black roof, and white racing stripe is such an elegantly perfect deco. Plus I don't know how good the decals will actually look, especially over the super-polished finish. I might be better off trying to find some good waterslide decals.

Back when I picked these up, I always thought the beat-up one was a salvage car and the pristine one was a finished restoration, but I was just reading on the hot wheels wiki that the complete car is actually the factory model, and the stripped-down, scuffed-up one is the same car many years later after countless accidents and mods.

I couldn't get a good pic of it, but there's even a dog molded into the backseat; it's a pup in the first car, and a full-grown beast in the second. Pretty cute touch. I wish more original Hot Wheels cars had their own lore.
