Well, Garax is here finally. He looks amazing, this is a complex paint job and NECA mostly hit it out of the park. He is developing some pretty bad rub in some areas though. Articulation in the arms is very good. Neck is just alright, but considering the design I can forgive it. Torso crunches back very far, but barely goes forward at all. So he's good for Superman-esque flying poses, but not so great for low crouched fighting stances. Legs are kind of a disaster though. His double knees are the only nice thing I can point to. His hips are limited severely by his stiff rubber diaper, and his thigh swivels are nearly non-functional because they're so far up in there. He has no calf swivel, so he can't take very wide stances--but his ankle rockers are pretty trash anyway so I guess it's a moot point. He's surprisingly hard to balance and keep standing, posing him is not really a fun experience.
He's a good looking toy, but man did they botch the articulation. And while pins aren't a huge issue to me either way, this really would have been the right time to go pinless. The rounded pins really stand out on a character that's entirely made of flat planes. I don't regret buying it, it is still a cool looking figure for display. It's just not fun to handle.
