>>9214945There is definitely a couple different Lego building aesthetics. Lego has it's own in-universe kind-of design that was really established in the 80s and 90s. It's simple, clean, has bright colors, is kinda oddly proportioned and very charming. It looks like more of a toy than a model per se.
Then on the other end of the spectrum, you have sets like the new Blacksmith shop and most modern mocs that try to focus more on realism and depicting history. With most of Lego's castle and fantasy lines in between being a kind of middle-ground between realism and the classic toy it once was.
I really think any style a builder goes with has merit and requires creativity and building skills.
