>both the bey arena sets I bought came in the mail
I couldn't help myself. I've opened up the red sword and blue arrow set to get my hands on my first beys. The unboxing experience is unlike any other from recent memory; I'm positively ensorcelled by these spinning metal tops. I have done some tests on top of a table to see how these spin, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to continue doing that as I don't want to cause wear on the bits just yet. The arena and the other set I got are going to remain sealed until my friend arrives in the beginning of February. I don't think I'll be able to make it without battling myself a couple times, but I hope to keep that experience reserved for when my mate is here.
I've decided I'm going to let my friend choose which stadium he takes home, between this one and the clear one, as well as one of the dran swords. I am quite taken with the red and black, but the alt blue one is gorgeous as well. Either way I might encourage him to take the stadium and sword that came in the same set, just in case I want to replace it for myself down the line it will be less of a pain tracking those two parts down. This is his christmas present and when he comes in Feb it will be around his birthday, so I'll also gift him a Hell's Chain deck set to get his collection started. I can't wait for him to arrive, this is going to be positively epic.
