I wouldn't drop tfs though, I just love having transforming robots, even if I don't really catch any of the fiction anymore, and some fresh new toys is exciting rather than seeing the same old g1 shit
only problem is setting your expectations for cardbots, i think the armada comparison is a good one, solid chunky plastic, lots of detail and paint apps, but not prioritizing articulation like modern tfs
