The constant complaint was that the figures were undersized and they were. Even I skipped out on figures like that Batman, who was supposedly based on Nightwing's comic run on him, who is shorter than Bruce is. The figure was still pretty small, proportionately even if the height was justified.
There were complaints about hte lack of swivel too.
No one ever broke these figures or had a problem with anything else. The only other complaint was pretty specific and that was with Superman's paint job.
DCC fixed all these issues two waves later, but by then /toy/ had brushed the line away and you've had guys like

Pretty sad that people don't like to support a great company who pays attention to what fans want.
