For many people LEGO is an escape towards an ideal world away from the real world and its issues.
The point I'm trying to make is that you see the world in very black and white terms. If someone complains about this he must do it because he's a racist faggot, right?
I dislike LEGO's involvement because I feel they should stay separate from things like this. And I would still keep this opinion and dislike it even if they intervened and supported some cause I personally had a stake in.
I do not want Lego supporting any type of causes, worthy or unworthy, because I feel that's not the role of a company that makes and sells toys.
I am of the opinion that companies participating in society and culture is very dangerous because companies ultimately have a stronger loyalty to their bottom line and profit than they do to the betterment of society and well being of the general populace.
