Personally I don't see anything wrong with letting kids watch certain horror films as long as it isn't something really fucked up like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer or something like that.
Anyway Predator is technically a horror movie.
I never found it particularly scary but it seems like every kid had a horror movie (for me it was the first Evil Dead and Nightmare on Elm Street films) that scared them more than it did other kids so I am not judging.
