Have to wonder why they don't just make a new character; a hefty black woman COULD be an interesting addition to the Joe team IF it were written well. But there's no need to overwrite old characters is there?
It feels like strong male role models in American cartoons and toys are slowly being whittled away. I read some of the shared universe Transformers / Joe the first time they tried it; that got pretty wacky but maybe they can pull it off.
