Guess what, despite the marketing of "Girl Power", the toys are still sexist against women.
The kid modeling the proton pack is a boy.
The ugly sexist gender norms show up yet again.
Now before people bitch about me using that term, let me say that these gender norms and sterotypes are against both boys and girls.
Girls are given fashion dolls and kitchen shit to conform into women who need to look pretty and stay in the kitchen. Boys are given war figures and violent toys because men are expected to be agressive monsters. That latter sterotype is something many feminist blogs love to propagate.
Here in the toy aisle indoctrinating kids from a young age.
I know /toy/ is for fun, but we also need to realize playtime for kids molds them into their future selves and shapes their dreams.
Girls should be able to wear proton packs and boys should be ablw to play kitchen. As someone whose grandfathers worked in kitchens and bakeries, these toy aisle sterotypes are disgusting.
