Been doing a little comparison between the Black General and The Brick's Bounty. While the ships are the same width, The Black General has an additional, huge stern section after the three keel plates, where The Brick's Bounty has the captain's quarters halfway on the third keel plate.
Basically, Brick's Bounty is Prow + 3 keel plates, while Black General is Prow + 3 keel plates + Stern. Black General is ~6 inches longer and taller. I'll do some more looking at the Lego Black Pearl and other ships. It's no Sea Cow, but that thing is excessive on purpose.
