>>7907731I thought this toy was just...alright. Its biggest asset to me was that it felt very solid and chunky, and wasn't a chore to transform. I didn't like the overlong ape arms with the super wide shoulders and massive forearms. The feet had like, zero mobility. There was way too much silver on what should be a pretty much entirely red design (some color change is inevitable with reminaginings, but I think this was too much). And the head was definitely the worst part--they took Warpath's iconic angular head, one of my favorite heads in all of Transformers, and made it into...this. It's weirdly humanoid, seeming to almost have the silhouette of a nose, like Spidey's face protruding through his mask. His eyes are glaring and shaped all angry, and his cheek vents look like bizarre teeth to me, like he's doing that Ninja Turtle grimace. It ends up feeling very edgy 90s superhero to me. This is a terrible Warpath head.
The official transformation even has you hiding the barrel away in his chest, when the long fucking cannon protruding from it was one of his most iconic features. Who the fuck designed this, and did they bother to even Google a picture of the character first?
