I'm hella sad JDF died, guy was my hero. I have a framed poster of him in my library/gaming room and opposite the the room a glass curio display of him as Green and White Ranger (with Jason filling a spot til I got Zeo Red figure n Zord).
Just finding out he died has kinda broken me. I looked up to him since I was 6 years old and he joined the team as Green Ranger my living breathing hero. No more. I almost want to take it all down, but I still love the character. The spirit and message the actor put out there of being a real hero all Rings true to me, all the cheesy after episode "believe in yourself" messages, down to him in his 40s putting out positive energy. I'm not gonna take it all down. I'm gonna leave it up. And I'm gonna double down on my love for Tommy and celebrate the character, and the spirit of the man behind it.
Makes me sad though. I really slowed down on my toy collecting when I moved and stopped working full time. I missed a number of ranger figures i would have jumped on. I missed both Metallic White and Zeo Red. Not site if Dino Thunder Black has a figure yet, but I'm missing it too if it does. But since dying I can not for the life of me find either Zeo Red or Metallic White anywhere, nor another White Ninja figure (I want a second to fuck around and play with, keeping the one I have in display). But ohh well. I have a great collection and am only sad I never got to meet him and tell him what a positive impact he had on me and my character growing up
