these are the gimmicks I have amassed so far 3 months Into modeling and painting and have very little to show for it building wise. I'm building two right now but it's been growing pains, however, they do look good for a beginner i think anyways. not sanding initially and removing missmatches and not applying putty hurt me so I started over. I learned using lacquer sucks dick with no ventilation. I have also learned acrylics are pretty badass and that I can live just using it, very forgiving stuff. I just got the compressor today to replace my even smaller one before. working pretty good so far. some things i have learned so far is that #1 plan out the build in advanced. #2 cross contamination ruins things pretty quickly. I still have to buy a new airbrush because this current one which was donated to me isn't really good. there is no control. I guess everyone goes the iwata path no? I think I'm going to go more into figures and resin garage kits. there are much more obscure models with resin. also, is it possible to use glitter with paints? maybe if the flakes were small enough? does anyone know if nail polish can be used? i have a ton of it.
