Getting the right amount of tension and then tying it off in assorted fiddly places... But there wasn't anything much that was terribly difficult about it. Then again, what you see there is a ridiculously simplified rigging scheme.
For the two ships in my post above Vasa I used flexible rigging wire (Uschi/Ammo Mig), tha's a lot easier to work with because first of all I don't hold to any illusions of tying things in such a scale, and second it's very light and stretchy, so you can get plenty enough tension in it to keep it nice and straight, without having so much force involved that you start bending the masts.
