>Chinese merchant you're my greatest allyMuh first car, ich habe grosse pläne when I finish the leo 2.
Masking it off has proven to be quite an experience with peeling errywhere as both tape and liquid hold on for dear life, also using liquid masking in some areas wasn't as smart as I thought and in insight I prefer to retouch bleeds rather than what I had to do to scrape it off. Now I have to touch up some areas before varnish and mask the unit ID numbers but I think it looks pretty cool so worth it on my book in the end.
For extensive use of masking fluid I highly recommend a glossy surface (it grips like glue on matt and rugged surfaces) and doing extra thicc layers to ease the pain and not using it on areas with hard access.
>>6754816In that case it's easy as the dominant color is lighter than the smaller splotches. I've seen in the weathering mag camouflages issue this expo camo (the white version) done masking the shapes you want and spraying there only, I think it's better in this case as opposed to masking only what you want to keep and make a whole layer. Tiger model or trumpeter?
>>6758762My nigga, hope you get the time and desire to make more models soon. Watching your builds was comfy and top of the line work. I ordered on a whim pic related
>>6756626 as muh first ship ever a week ago along my first car to try some new shit but I'm not sure if I bit too much as that kit looks too nice. Got any solid references for shipbuilding (apart from
modelwarships.com) or some buildlog of yours?
>>6761535You need to get better lighting as I don't know how anyone can see shit in your pics
>>6762026It doesn't feel finished to me for some reason, I think it needs a bit of light and dark grey oil in those big plain surfaces to give it more "life". Can't exactly put it into words but needs something going on in all that plain grey. Nevertheless nice build and I'm not one to talk in ships tho
