There are a few elements that make me think this design was meant for than just wave 2 fodder in HftD.
The fake grill chest suggests that at one point it mattered whether or not it looked like he could conceivably turn into a missile truck.
The arms are the one tiny fault I have with robot. Not even that they're too long just the the elbow is too low so it throws off the look.
