>>6930637>Also fans know there's going to be enough Star Wars films coming out from now until the end of time for them to jump onboard whenever. The prequels were a "one and done" sort of thing like the original trilogy.Prequels weren't supposed to be one and done, and especially back then. We were anticipating Thrawn and all the same shit that people were expecting when Disney bought LucasFilm up. Though people were much more hopeful that Thrawn was a possibility with Disney because Lucas was more strict about his vision.
Whole lotta hope back then, and inbetween all the movies Lucas was cashing in on N64 games, PSX games, PS2 games, XBox games, and PC games.
Where's all that shit today?
Back then the fanbase cheered crazily at Genndy's Clone Wars series and then converted to Christianity to praise Jesus when he got his second series.
Nah, there was a crazy amount of hype and expectations, even after RotS ended. We kept expecting that promised TV show, and instead got a cartoon series, and then there was all that talk about the Han Solo and Boba Fett movies.
Toy wave after toy wave of highly wanted toys from shat on movies, even after RLM released their video and all the me toos came out of the wood work. People clamored for better figures year after year and we got mostly the limited articulated shit, but they paid up anyway.
What we're getting today isn't the same. TFA showed us what Disney is trying to push on us. No shit there's no hype anymore and it isn't because we got a schedule for a SW movie every year. Their productions are the opposite of hype.
Despite the level of hate that the prequels got, there was a whiny fanbase pushing a giant block of golden hype to get more SW. Now it's Disney pushing a giant block of shit and the fanbase is running away out of its path, with that whiny fanbase crying they dont want anymore.
