>>10518602We literally see what I've said. We went from one year of super articulated toys like Skullbuster, with god-tier paints and two accessories. The next year, there are McStatues with maybe 5 PoA, god tier paints, a highly detailed base, and more accessories than before.
The price of the toy didn't go up (especially considering mcstatues were phased in over time, likely waiting if reactions were positive and economic factors of just completing shit they already had planned out), the size didn't go down (in fact, they went up), and QC actually increased.
You can pretend laugh to dismiss what I've said, but this is the reality of McFarlane's production from ~2001-2003.
Whereas you ignorantly believe the mold costs more if they do a large/complex shape (vs multiple pieces per mold needed for super articulated joints), despite the fact McFarlane (Raw10 shit), Hasbro (titan shit), Mattel (lightyear shit), and many more companies producing minimally articulated 8"+ figures for $9-15. And since when are a robotic sharks or dragons with outstretched wings simplistic shapes?
>>10518613Most of what makes Cygor 2 look so damn impressive is the wash. Those ball-hinged shoulders made the 2nd one a funner toy too. Just little improvements like that enhance a toy to levels of excitement we get from seeing shiny gold bars and sparkly diamonds.
