I’m going to chime in with my own thoughts. I appreciate your in-depth review but I think you’re being a little too harsh on the playline She-Ra dolls; I think they’re decent for the price point. And as someone who thinks that the designs in the show are too androgynous the dolls are an improvement; they’re feminine and actually have curves. Really the only major flaw with She-Ra is her stock hair; I hate the texture so much I’m getting her rerooted with saran.
Of the two dolls I have I prefer Glimmer because of her better quality hair and cuter face. She’s the one that got the most complaints, but honestly I think she’s adorable. Her body type is so much better as a doll, she’s thick but not a fridge. The one thing I don’t like is her magic blast accessory, it’s kind of lame considering the other dolls have actual physical weapons.
They can both stand on their own due to the chunky boots and flat feet, which is really nice because there’s no stands.
Also She-Ra towers over the other girls as you can see in the pic.
Catra is probably the most accurate doll in the line so I hope you can find her, anon!
