Doesn't change the fact that they're last me forever, will survive a flood, can survive a war, won't get damaged if a fire breaks out and the firemen need to blast my house with high pressure hoses that would trash most boxes instantly, etc etc etc.
Same shit with earthquakes. My boxes won't shatter if the floor suddenly falls down or is hit with a shelf hitting them.
If my cans fall to the floor, they won't pop open or crack apart like plastic does. They'll probably damage the floor by the fall and won't even dent.
Nevermind because they're so sturdy, that they don't need to feature oversized lids and handles to strengthen them, which is why i bought them in the first place. You can fit more of them in one place versus plastic boxes.
Costco used to sell them for under $20 for two cans. Big one, with a smaller one inside. I think the cheapest you can get them now are Harbor Freight for just the large one.
Imagine your entire collection washing away in a situation like pic, because their lids popped off. Any toys that stayed inside their box will be full of sewer water and mud, because they leaked. Lotta ruined shit.
