Real paint diffuses light like more realistically and creates shadows without looking cartoony like matte plastics.
Fact of life.
And pic of some stuff i have on display in my office. PRetty extreme in terms of paint, but whatever.
The Jaeger is basically an unpainted model kit, but it was only $20. I usually stay way from the other RD because of their cheap looks and build models instead.
