Lorewise, Ghost Dog is the prototype model of Dio who keeps upgrading himself to try to prove he's not obsolete - only for Dio to one-up him every single time. The ongoing competition noted in the bios has been fun to follow along; the last time he was mentioned, he had upgraded to Helldiver, went 'fuck it', built himself the Heavy Armor set, and went to try to duke it out with Dio, who had ALSO made himself an identical armor set. No word on the winner yet, but given that Dio is the mascot and Ghost Dog just keeps coming back for more, I'd say this is just his next ploy to match the standard Mega Dio.
