>>5202431Technically, yes. The pricing on Shapeways is based on the cm^3 volume of the CAD file, along with machining dimensions (or something like that). So if you make something that's volume is at about the same cm^3 as a product for sale on the site, you should get your product a few bucks cheaper provided you use the cheapest shipping option and nothing fancy like the wrapped box with a bow option.
As it happens, today (Sunday Oct. 4th) standard (cheesiest) shipping is free for any orders by 11:59pm EST. I took advantage of it by having some prototype lower arms based on the dimensions of my client's OC figure I'm working on as well as a second normal set for a curvy-female archetype I'm basing his commission on. Should be 2-3 weeks before I get those parts to arrive.
