Dying works ok, sorta. Dying ABS in general is a tricky business because its glass transition point is 105C, and dyes for synthetics need to be at or above ~90c to activate, so you've got a very narrow range of temperatures that won't cause it to just flat out melt. There was some light warping on the legs and arms, but nothing too terrible. I also had to re-drill most of the holes because those also shrunk.
I wish I had a laboratory hot plate.
