It was painted Luftwaffe green and since I didn't have any yellow paint, it's identifying flash on the wing tips and tail were painted red. None of the paint was thinned and it all came in those little tins you had to open with a screwdriver or coin.
Landing gear and prop blades snapped off more or less instantly as it was getting used as a toy.
I think it came with a spitfire and after cutting out and gluing decals to the spit, I had learnt you put them on using water.
After that I didn't touch a kit in over 20 years until my friend got me a Mk5 Chieftain tank for Christmas one year. Fuck knows why but I just put it in a drawer for another 3 years until I decided to buy that shitty Revell 1/32 Spitfire and build it whist isolating at home.
I finally found the Chieftain. I'm bashing it together from what I have in the box.
