And they are pumping out new species of bugs and other animals at a breakneck pace now. Kaiyodo has solidly lost this fight. I'll admit their figures are really nice, but when compared to Bandai's 500 yen offerings, you start asking yourself "is that nice paintjob and slightly larger size worth 6k yen more?"
Plus, Kaiyodo overlooked something crucial here: people like swarms of things. You can't army build such expensive bugs unless you're obscenely rich.
