Starting at the OG stuff would only kill interest and hype. That's why I expect the lapse of DC's trinity of heroes to be the start of a paradigm shift within the public domain. Mickey, Daffy, and Bugs will certainly be big deals too but like Tracy they're going to be bogged down by copyright for a while longer even after they finally make it into the public domain. Arguably you could make use of Daffy and Bugs' appearances from their long PD WW2 shorts or (in Mickey's case) adapt the Gottfriedson comics, but you'd still be a ways off from their especially iconic appearances for atleast another decade or so. However that changes considerably once we get to Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman. Wonder Woman's rogues gallery will lapse alongside her because they all debuted in her first year of publication. Superman and Batman will be limited like Tracy or Mickey, but there's so much value in their names that it wont matter. Even with Batman's most famous rogues roped off there's alot you could do with him. The same being true of Superman as Luthor wont be PD until 3 years after Superman himself is.
