Here's a useless rant, I've pretty much completely done a 180° on kots. I still think the actual pizza knights are pretty lame and have thought so since the first kickstarter, but now that there's a bunch more pieces in the mix, I dig having a swappable action figure line. And like, they're not /great/ toys, especially acticulation-wise (the lack of knees really kills them imo), but they have a good vibe. Jessie seems to really love what he does and all his weird af world-building. That's like the main thing he has on Matt is that everything gets lore, even if it's nonsensical. They're fun and evocative and any figure you throw together, you've got this vague world description to fit them into. Like look at this guy I put together. I love him or her or it, he could be anyone. Is it a fantasy warrior? An ancient astronaut? Space guy? Whatever, maybe we're in the Vector and it's just an avatar.
Like what is the point of all this kickass Ralph Niese art without any context? Give me a couple paragraphs to make me care about the characters and I'll probably buy them. But without lore, it's basically just different colors of Lego, so I only buy interesting colors. I miss the lead up posts and little scenes before a drop. I just wish Matt would hype up onell drops a bit more like he used to.
