I see powder coating on ebay (fucking pricey), altering the little symbol gems themselves with custom stickers (I assume), and also watching these painted ones get roughed up makes me want to lean into it and paint battle damage on to make it look like it's been fighting in a world war for a decade. Even a nulnoil wash would make the chipped paint look bad ass.
