Also, LEGO has had declining sales and recently fired over a thousand people. So things are looking that rosey for them either.
Both companies still have strong sales though and having a hot license, even one in decline, is still a great way to make literal tons of money. It's very hard to fuck it up... which isn't to say that hot franchises like Star Wars haven't been fucked up, but they're still hugely popular regardless.
