>>9473310alright, i got you breh. this here is my kit. i usually *really* use about 15% of the tools. The must haves for scale modeling are, in descending order (ymmv)
>the pen extension snake hose thing it was a world of improvement once i got that, it improves accuracy by a huge margin due to the fact that you don't need to swing the whole sausage around.
>chuck (as opposed to collets)You don't need the precision collets afford when handholding, but you need the saved time cause you dont have to change the collets all the damn time.
>drill bits(doh)
>diamond millsi found that these give the best balance between controllability and aggressiveness when thinning plastic. The fluted mills (orange box) are great for gross material removal or making rough cuts, they chew through plastic like butter but they torque the whole tool and workpiece, and you kinda have to wrangle them i to submission
>felt polishing diski made the mistake of trying to polish a canopy withless patience than i needed to. i fubared it.
...and that's about it. The rest of the tools are situational at best for scale modeling. I also use the rotary tool for light metal work and other shit, and i'm also kind of a hoarder, that's why the tools, but that is pretty much all you need to cover your bases at the beginning. cheers.
