The world created right now, or at least, what the educators, politicians and the media is focusing on are extremely coddled people, who basically think we're in a post-scarcity world and that their lifestyle can be applied to everyone and everything. Even pretend-minimalists aren't aware of how much resources it takes to supply their lifestyle.
They think that this minor infringing of rights with the pandemic and even the rioting of 2020 is something we survived; like it's some big point in testing our resolve and society, but it's not even close to how bad shit can get when society actually breaks down through war or an actual deadly virus.
Only 50 years of peace has warped people's way of thinking and made them ignorant of what man is capable of. Just going back 30 years... well, most people would rather forget how dangerous cities used to be, if they were even aware of it. No doubt, they'd rather remember mall life, music, and fashion, which led to the optimistic 90s.
They think by repressing the bad shit that that will keep it from coming back, but that's far from the truth. It just makes others forget it happened, why it happened, and could start the cycle all over again, because they don't recognize the signs.
What's this have to do with toys? Not much and I'm glad that toy soldiers n shit still haven't been vilified. Even back in the 00s, when people were against Bush's wars, shit like GI Joe was selling very well. Even Obama's anti-warness (oh ho ho) didnt do shit to hamper's the 25th's line success.
But maybe this is a bad thing; a sign that the media and politicians need people to support their armies to control shit and/or take resources away from other lands.
