It's basically the entire premise of the SHFSS line, that the proportions are super realistic. That said, I don't know if I agree with their assertion here...the proportions on that Agumon especially look like trash.
As for the rest of your post, that's the problem with Bandai right now in general. They're making all these big moves that are like...sink or swim. Instead of making moderately priced and less premium toys once in a while, they bank everything on expensive new lines that usually tank after a few releases.
