>>5902282>The old marvel figures look way more like the cartoon characters than the new figures. I looked up the beast figures and honestly they all look like shit to me. The old toy biz one fills me with nostalgia and looks more like the TAS figure to me.fixed that for you.
You weren't reading comics back then. Stop making ignorant claims.
No shit you like him more, since they haven't done an animated style for almost 2 decades now.
Beast was basically drawn like Wolverine back then. The 90s Toy Biz version was too dopey looking to capture that look and the cartoon Beast was pretty shit, being a serious corny intellectual, instead of the whimsical smartass from the comics, and Toy Biz's figures reflected that.
They didn't get him right until the ML line had started, and first only did his angry and serious look well. A pure 90s Beast was the Marvel Legend, with the opening jaw and being widely poseable, giving him many ways to represent his character.
>its also fun to put a 5 poa figure on my shelf and just look at it.I don't disagree, but when you have figures like ML Beast being able to pull off the actual comic book look and be poseable enough to show Beast's many traits, why would you settle for a McStatue?
Of course, if it was an actual McStatue, i can understand settling for it, since McFarlane had god-tier paint and sculpts. Some shitty 90s toy? No thanks. Even McFarlane's 90 figures were put to shame with all his later lines where he even made his figures way more poseable than anything he previously had made.
