So far it's spent a solid week just plodding about in Germany, so I ran out of patience and got to work on Flyhawk's Lützow instead. Something of a half-panic buy as I noticed Takom's rebox didn't seem to include any railings, the long term plan is to get the HMS Invincible to keep her company. I'm sure they'll get along juuust fine...
The kit I ended up with also included a torpedo boat, which has been run on a slightly accelerated schedule compared to the headliner. I went with the recommended Tamiya paint for the main deck, while I just grabbed a Vallejo dark grey off the paint shelf for the rest. The end result may be a bit lower contrast than ideal I guess, but not enough for em to bother doing anything about it. I guess the air intake that's gone AWOL may require some kind of replacement though, even if it just ends up being a bit of stretched sprue.
