It's just that the Trooper's knees are like this (the knees and lower legs are from the great RoC City Strike/Resolute Snake Eyes) but don't really go well with the upper thighs chosen. I think this was also one of Bobby Vala's doing (the 1/12 Action Force Kickstarter with his own Sgt Slaughter) before he was made redundant.
