Everything up until the tail quickly and efficiently comes together into a perfect cube (and is nice and intuitive without instructions unlike something like the anglerfish). The tail is unfortunately more of a faff and really lets the transformation down (especially when the tip of those grey pieces is way too pointy to put any pressure on to tab into the tail), but you can get it all locked in nice and square and it fits neatly in the box charger.
Completely agree that the limb ball sockets being looser than their proximate joints is annoying at first and I personally popped the same leg off twice during the first transformation, but I've not had any problems since being mindful of that on further transformations.
It's a shame; I still think it's pretty good, but it COULD have been an all-timer, especially if they'd put a bit more thought into the tail.
