The waist joint was actually stuck and I had to use a good amount of force to break it loose, though the waist rotates smoothly now that the joint is free. Also, the grey part which sort of forms a U underneath the cockpit was askew out of the box; turned out it had somehow popped out of its peg on one side and it was easy to slide back into place.

The unclipped sprue piece is quite the oversight (is that a painted part too? makes things even worse if so) and a figure that feels loose in-hand is just never fun. You still managed to make Guren look pretty sharp in your shots, though! The Kallen figure looks great too, love how you have Guren's pose matching her piloting.
