>>7062932I still remember when Hot Toys sold military figs for no more than $100 or so pic related
Then they came back after a hiatus with all this licensed stuff, at much higher prices, now they're pushing the prices higher and higher, not long now till they'll charge $300 for a simple 1/6 human figure with the bare minimum of accessories and articulation all blocked by armor and fat suits underneath
Can't keep up.
>but made everybody focus on adding an extra hatMore than that everyone now wants to add a super realistic detailed headsculpt usually resembling a popular action movie star/actor but not saying so because they don't want to be sued, so even if they aren't licensed they still charge prices for the extra work of making that "accurate likeness" like they are officially licensed.
That really pisses me off, I don't care for accurate likeness when its not a licensed movie character figure, and the focus on that even for a simple military figure usually ends up with it costing much more than it should.
>So the mid-range is obliterated.Pretty much, there's never been a better or worse time to be a 1/6 lover.
