>>10266057Thanks for the Info on the Panther. It's definitely goin on the list of tanks I have to hunt down. At this point that list is mainly a Clone Wars Republic Tank, some of the CORPS tanks, this thing
>>10266565 and now the Panther. Also the tank from the Battlefield Earth toyline. I always love me small, multi-seater tanks.
Also, the Joes did sort of have their own version of an IFV in the Warthog, but it came way too late in the line to really make an impression. But if you swapped out the missile rack for an actual turret, it would be a squat Bradley.
And I agree the classic HISS tank works better as a transport, it's squat body looks perfect for carrying troops. But the PoC and especially the Retaliation HISS are much more combat focused. In my Cobra Armored battalion, I use a pair of Ret HISSes as their MBTs, with a 30th HISS as a command/scout tank type thing. My only real complaint about the Ret HISS is that the turret is an open seat. There's plenty of potential for mods, I just need the proper time and resources to do so. Until then I just throw some BATs up there.
>>10266059This is a fantastic update to the HISS, but that rear missile launcher/rocket pod/cannon turret will never not be ridiculous.
>>10266070I wish the actual toy looked this good. This thing combines that angular aggressiveness of a classic HISS with some real world detailing to make it almost believable. And a raising turret (especially an enclosed one) would've been a much better play feature then the actual Ret Hiss's slight angle change gimmick.
Sadly these things were barely even in the film itself. I just remember the one random bad CG scene of them shooting from a static position. Total waste of a design imo, in more ways then one.
>>10266405The fact this hasn't become the default HISS tank will never not make me salty. Even worse is that it never saw a re-release in the ME. I would have loved to have this in that 50th set instead of the orange HISS we did get.
