There's a couple, but this is one of the oldest for me. When Beast Wars first came out, I really wanted a dragon Transformer, so much so that I tried to write Kenner a letter with a design to submit. but I was also 5 so my handwriting was incomprehensible and my sister never mailed the letter. So when years later, a dragon Megatron actually came out, I should've been super excited. But I couldn't find it at retail. Eventually Beast Machines came out and I lost interest. When I did find it(and Tigerhawk, another one I wanted and couldn't find), it was in 2001 in one of those little toy stores you see in Union City NJ, loaded with everything but recent toys. Like, you'd see everything from bootlegs, to toys from 3-6 years ago, loaded to the gills with no real order on a wall, in a small space, next to bookbags and trinkets.I was into DBZ at the time, so I passed it up in favor of one of those, in hindsight shitty, giant rotocast Goku figures.
As far as things I had, my original Transmetal Megatron's shoulders broke a year into getting him as a kid. In 2012 I replaced him with a Japanese version which I paid way too much for, since I didn't know of any alternatives to eBay at the time, oh well.
I still haven't got a TM2 Megatron, even though I own the Botcon 2016 Megatron. There's not much more I really want in my collection, so I guess I avoid getting it so there's always something out there I want still.
Also, OP, you should totally get the Mondo version if you can find it for around retail. Its a bit light feeling, but its a really cool toy.
