NO ONE is saying you can count the dots or they you can even see the individual dots, but you sure as fuck can notice it's low res like a shitty newsprint. IT's rough/blurry/etc. As opposed to costlier paint aplike spray masks, tampographs, etc
Whereas McFarlane's roughness is only visible when you're blowing it up 3-5x its original size or viewed up close. Again, my example of a human finger print, because our fingers appear smooth too until closely scrutinized. Or women hiding their flaws with make up. Or pretty much any young person, because an even tone fools our eyes into thinking it's smooth, hence my explanation of why that guy thought the Fortnite figures don't have that texture.
