Think I still have the Go Bots mini-comic that might've come in a cereal box. The good guys were all on a space shuttle mission together and got drawn into the Go Bots conflict. I watched the cartoon some but even back then, there was this kind of unspoken acknowledgement that Transformers were superior. But I do remember one of the cooler kids in second grade had a Cy-Kill figure and nobody minded, he just joined forces with the Decepticons.
