One last thought that has been on my mind alot lately. Since HF acts as an interlude of sorts between Bonkle G1 and G2,
I like to think of it as an inverse of the toa metru story. Instead of being set in the distant past however, it's
set in the far flung future, long after the age of toa and mata nui. The mystique of the toa, their elemental abilities,
and their origins has been swept away by the sands of time. In turn, these descendants of the glatorians and toa alike
turned to technology and science to equip themselves to fight the scourge of makuta. The Makuta, in time, also lost touch
with their primordial histories and would just ultimately end up as common crooks and big bads. By the end of it all,
they were just biomechanical beings who had grow to live out their daily lives in colossal cityscapes. The way I see it
this also explains why the heroes have to constantly upgrade themselves, aside from just suiting specific tasks, I like to
think they've evolved to become more mechanical than biological. Again, just an autistic notion that's swirled around in my head for some time.
