Honestly I wouldn't say the quality is that bad so much as lego's is just that much better and consistent. I don't think the minifig issue was a quality one so much as they just make the arms differently (and objectively worse) but on the plus side removing the arms doesn't damage them like it can with lego. I wouldn't get these for a kid to play with since they can be frustrating falling apart or not coming apart, but for me to build and put on display, it was fine for the cost. I won't be giving up lego any time soon though. You can definitely enjoy both.
