Yeah you could make an Optimus Prime with 1/10th of the parts at 1/10th of the size, but it probably wouldn't even look 1/10th as good.

So far all you've complained about is the price (Which while high isn't that awful compared to other Lego sets released this year) and the lack of articulation (Which again, its unfair to compare a plastic robot made of 1500 parts held together with friction to an action figure assembled with glue and metal screws/pins.). What about it makes it a bad lego set?
