>>10513207Yes to the former. In the anime they're roughly 10-11m tall whereas an average Gundam height is 18m. Pic related is a 1/144 Gundam next to a 1/144 AMAIM Kenbu. As you can see the Kenbu is much smaller (thanks to its legs in a somewhat kneeling position) so they wouldn't make for good kits at 1/144, hell the one in the pic is a magazine exclusive release and it doesn't have much articulation thanks to its size. So you need to bump it up, 1/100 still wouldn't be enough since it'll be a head shorter than a 1/144 Gundam kit so instead the next bigger scale is used which is 1/72 and from there the current Kyoukai Senki model kit line towers over the 1/144 Gundam line. Full Mechanics is 1/48 and even bigger than the 1/100 Gundam line. So yeah, their smaller size necessitates bumping up the scale which makes them bigger than Gundam kits.
